Our final Miles Johnston release of 2022 comes this week with the stunning ‘Wounded’.

In the words of the artist: 

"This drawing emerged from a daydream staring out the window on a cross country train ride. Watching the landscape go by looking like miniatures I had the idea of a monumental figure floating above . The main motif is almost an inversion of the Rumi quote, "The wound is the place where the light enters you." I have always taken this line to be about the relationship between the trauma of being in the world and our understanding and appreciation of love and beauty. Instead the wound is where the light is spilling out of her, illuminating details on the town and pastoral landscape below."

‘Wounded’ comes in two formats. A limited edition signed giclée print measuring 30.95cm x 44cm (approx 12" x 17.3") from an edition of 150 and a timed edition signed 1/1 scale giclée print measuring 17.8cm x 25.3cm (approx 7" x 10") which will be available for 72h.

Important note: the limited edition is in hand and will ship in time for Xmas. The timed edition will start printing after the pre-sale and will not ship in time for international Xmas orders. We will do our best for UK orders but with the strikes we can't make any promises.
